URI- Upper respiratory infection
Usually caused by respiratory viruses or sometimes a bacterial infection. Typical symptoms include; sore throat, cough with sputum production, nasal congestion, fever and headache. Since most cases are caused by viruses, antibiotics are generally not indicated.
